FLESH, INK. FRIDAY - Martin Armand

Every week, I begin my quest for this feature wondering exactly where I'm going to find the next exciting artist to feature for everyone - and somehow, each week it's as though I find myself saying "I've saved the best for last."

This week is no exception as we present to you the work of Martin Armand. Martin is a professional makeup/hair artist for film, TV, and Print - you've no doubt seen his work if you've seen I, Robot, Smallville, or Andromeda - just to name a few.

An Iranian exile and now based in Vancouver, Martin Armand was recognized as a Top 20 Makeup Artist by Lancome Canada in 2005.

In addition to the wonderful photos here, and the rest of his wonderful gallery (make sure you check out all five pages), you HAVE to check out this brief documentary of Martin Armand at work, via the CBC. Rarely at Flesh, Ink. Friday do we have an opportunity to observe the artist at work, so please don't miss this exciting opportunity.
