Another Reason To Hate The Pentagon

Pentagon documents classify homoesxuality as a mental disorder, and list it in a category of defects along with mental retardation and personality disorders.

This, despite the fact that the APA and all other medical and mental health organizations have long since abandoned the practice of classifying homosexuality as some form of a defect. According to James H. Scully Jr., head of the APA, "Based on scientific and medical evidence the APA declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder in 1973 - a position shared by all other major health and mental health organizations based on their own review of the science...."

Members of Congress have thankfully called on the Pentagon to produce a full review of their documents and policies to ensure the same standards are being practiced by the Pentagon as those recignized by professionals in the mental health and medical fields.

Are we surprised that the Pentagon would produce policy that was illogical, backward, and ignorant? Not a bit.

    I guess I must say, I am confused that this is "another reason" to "Hate" the Pentagon.

    I thought the left wanted us all to believe they "love the military" just not what Bush is doing with it?

    Perhaps you could provide the rest of the list? What other reasons do you have for "hating" the Pentagon?
