Is It January 2009 Already?
Was it less than a week ago when Dubya mentioned that Rumsfeld would be the Secretary of Defense until January of 2009?
So, today, as Rummy has stepped down, I'm looking outside and thinking that it's remarkably warm outside for an early Janaury day two years from now.
CAN THIS DAY GET ANY BETTER????

I am so happy that a woman took over as speaker of the House, in the face of the neocons. You hit it right, on the Rummy issue, I will tell you something else that was said by McCain; I will commit suicide if the Democrats take the Senate.
I know he said it I believe it was last week I will find some way to Google it, never be over confidant, and they should have never forgot who put them there, it is a great day to be an American, it does not matter how much money they had to throw at this election, if you lose the people, you can not win!!!!

Congrats to all of you libs that are celebrating the demise of this country, but thats ok you will not have to look too far to find who is to blame when our economy goes into the toilet, all you will have to do is look in the nearest mirror.

Jon, it is truly staggering to me how you can be such a tool - how can you say that less than one week after the elections, that we are "celebrating the demise" of this this country??? Have you looked LATELY at the condition of this country??
Grow up and take your medicine - Americans have clearly stated that Republicans were the ones to destroy this country, and now it will be up to Democrats to fix it.... once again.
This is not to state that just because Democrats have been elected, that all is rosy and life is wonderful - Democrats actually have to PRODUCE results - and Lord knows there's PLENTY for them to fix after the long-standing republican rule in Congress, in addition to the six years of Dubya.
The simple fact, however, is that the economy has ALWAYS done better under Democrats than it has under Republicans. And I have facts to back that up if you need them.
But as always, I'm sure you have no interest in the facts, and will continue to stick with your steroetypes and prejudices.
So sorry, sore loser.

Really? The Democrats will ruin the economy? Is that where the debate stands?
I understand Jon telling me Democrats will turn America gay or Communist or probably both, and I understand him telling me Pelosi will be so weak she will give in to bin Laden's manly charms and get him a copy of the key to the White House. But Democrats will ruin the economy? That's not even offensive; it's just silly.
