Might I recommend a quick read of the book "Donkey Cons?"
I think you will find that, while corruption at any given point in time makes for good political fodder for "the other side" it has been rampant on both sides of the aisle.
Perhaps this sort of commercial fits the category of "dirty tricks" and not "debating the issues that face America."
Just out of curiosity, since I am one of those who believes the democrats have no plan (and even blogged and podcasted on it recently--see http://theprofessornotes.com) why have we not seen more air play of the "six points?"
It seems to me that if there really is a plan for action that America can support we should see more of that, and less of this sort of attack that could just as easily be a reflective advert.
