Some Random Thoughts To Start The Week

This week promises to be a busy one for me, so I'll start the week out with a few random tidbits that caught my attention... feel free to discuss and/or challenge all of them:

George Clooney Admits That's He's A Liberal

Gasp! No! Don't blow the cover, George! After all, if people know that YOU'RE a liberal, they're likely to find ALL of us out!

Honestly, however, I'm in complete and total agreement with Mr. Clooney when he writes:
But turn away from saying "I'm a liberal" and it's like you're turning away from saying that blacks should be allowed to sit in the front of the bus, that women should be able to vote and get paid the same as a man, that McCarthy was wrong, that Vietnam was a mistake. And that Saddam Hussein had no ties to al-Qaeda and had nothing to do with 9/11.
Amen, George! And if you haven't guessed, dear PTFers, I'm a Liberal, as well. Liberal, and damned proud of it!

Feingold Calls For Censure of President

My love affair with Russ Feingold continues, as the ONLY Democrat willing to take a stand against the Administration and Republicans in Congress. His choices aren't always popular, but he's right, and should be supported wherever and whenever possible. QUICK ACTION ITEM FOR TODAY - PLEASE contact your Members of Congress and ask them to support Feingold's Resolution, and if they don't, ask them why they don't. The more calls and e-mails they receive, the better.

Here's the text of the Resolution here, or you can read the Press Release from his office here.

As an aside, I LOVE the CNN tag below the headline on the Feingold article..."No Republicans expected to support proposal"... Gosh.... ya' think?

MUCH more on Russ as the week continues. Oh, and by the way.... Reid, Pelosi, Durbin, and everyone else waffling on this? Suck it!

Is There An Echo In Here?

Yet again, ANOTHER new poll has Bush's approval ratings at an all-time low. This one from CNN-USA Today, putting Bush's number at 36 percent. The challenge to Apologists continues, but thus far there has been NO response... funny how that happens.

36 percent, and yet Democratic Leadership is still afraid to take a principled stance. They should be truly ashamed of themselves.
